From the Standpoint of a Non-technical Techy.

Business Central. It’s a complete cloud-based financial system and one of the flavors of Dynamics from Microsoft, that gives you the ability to operate your small to mid-sized business easily, all in one place.

Let’s talk ease of use.

It eliminates the need for multiple open tabs. Less clicks equals less stress, and we all love that. Not only does it consolidate your business needs, but it is completely customizable, so you can form your operational requirements around its many available options. Because of its dynamic capabilities, as you enter data throughout the day, the system is constantly updating, giving you the most up-to-date and accurate numbers at any given time.

Business Central is not just a program, it’s the backbone of your operations, offering you all the essential operating tools in one easy-to-use structure. It can be used on any device with internet access, so whether it be on your tablet, computer, or phone- there’s an app for that!

Non-Modular Modules

You will find that Business Central comes with all the modules you will need to successfully run your company. When logging in, you will find your Role Center. This is your “homepage” and can be customized around your role in the company. Because there are different levels of security clearance within your business, our Role Centers do a great job of ensuring the safety of sensitive information and streamlining your tasks. Within your Role Center, you will find some or all of the following modules:

  1. Financial Management

    1. General Ledger

    2. Purchase and Payables

    3. Sales and Receivables

    4. Fixed Assets

  2. Advanced Financial Management

  3. Basic HR Management

  4. Artificial Intelligence Forecasting

  5. Customer Relationship Management (CRM!! Built in!!!)

  6. Project Management (Jobs)

  7. Inventory

  8. Warehouse Management

  9. Manufacturing (Premium)

  10. Service Management (Premium)

Licensing Options?

There are three licensing options available:

  • Premium - which includes every module listed above for $100 per user/per month.

  • Essentials - which includes every module except for Inventory Manufacturing and Service Management for $70 per user/per month.

  • Team - which is available for approvals and read-only access for $8 per user/per month.

Additionally, if you have Microsoft 365 access, the read-only version to view documents through Teams is completely free.

I’ve touched on the basics of Business Central- a system that offers multiple options, all in one very organized system. Let’s eliminate clicks and open tabs. Business Central is your one stop shop for everything you need to operate your business. When a program like this is utilized, you will have more time for other things, so grab a cup of coffee or tea and relax, because Business Central has got you.

Check out some of the webinar links or other blog posts for more details into specific areas of the system.
