Sending Mindful Messages

I am an early riser and I generally do my best and most effective work before 8am. However, most of the people I work with are not online that early because they are in a different time zone.
I always send Teams messages so I don’t forget to tell them important information regarding projects I am working on. Since most people have their work communication on their phones, my messages are always read right away and I feel bad bothering them before their working hours. We should be mindful of one another’s personal time.
Somehow, I have been living under a rock and didn’t realize there was a scheduled send option in Teams. This is an amazing feature! Simply right click on the send button (or long press on the mobile version) and a schedule option comes up. You can select the date and time that it is appropriate to send the message.
This is also really helpful if you want to send yourself reminders. I use the ‘Me’ chat in teams as a way to remind myself of items to look at or complete. Now, I can schedule it to arrive at a specific time, so I don’t just read it and forget it!
This is game changing! With that being said, sorry to anyone that has ever got a Teams message from me at 3am.
