Who Am I and Why Should You Be Interested?

About Me

Hi! I'm Tasha! I am a mom, wife, mentor, employee, neurodivergent, plant loving, D365 Business Central enthusiast. I love making technology fun and digestible for every human who uses it. I am convinced I was put on this planet to get people excited about the potential of technology in their personal and professional lives. Getting thrown into the Dynamic Community is one of the best things that has happened to me, and I want to share my experiences with the world!

Let me set the stage...in 2014, I had no idea what I wanted to do but I knew I wanted nothing to do with tech, computers, or public speaking ever in my life (spoiler alert, I was wrong)! I am an introvert and in college I took my speech class online so I wouldn't have to speak in front of anyone, I was even nervous recording myself in my living room alone. I could not figure out how to hook up a computer, use excel formulas, or really navigate the internet effectively.

Fast forward a bit and in 2018 I stumbled into a position with a company to provide support for Dynamics SL and it was ok, but it was not my passion. However, the first time I saw Business Central was shortly after I started, and I fell in love with it! It was pretty, flexible, and easy to use. I knew that it was what I wanted to do - support Business Central.

At that same company where I knew I wanted to support BC, my hype man and mentor, forced me to do a demo of an ISV solution they created for Business Central... I was terrified. I did it and I survived, barely. Then he pushed me to teach in-person training classes for that same solution. That was terrifying. I did it though, and again barely survived but I realized, I really enjoyed it. I kept instructing training classes and doing solution demos and that was my passion! Teaching people and showing them how solutions can work, in a fun and inviting way. Just because it is technology, does not mean it has to be technical or boring.
